How does the digital food farmacy work?
It’s quite simple. Members log-in and fill out a quick assessment about their health conditions, health goals, and dietary needs and then bitewell’s nutritional intelligence (read our special algorithm) curates a marketplace of healthy food options specifically for them. From there, members can shop for what they want and it all gets delivered to their front door.
How do you personalize the digital food farmacy?
Great question. We use this thing called the FoodHealth Score (FHS), which is our proprietary metric that helps people quickly identify the best foods for them. Here’s how it works in practice: Once a person joins bitewell’s digital food farmacy, they are prompted to fill out the assessment that outlines their health conditions and goals. From there, we assign every food in our database a FHS based on that person’s health conditions, health goals and dietary needs. Using that information, we then curate an online marketplace that only shows foods that score a high FHS for that individual, i.e. only foods that work best for their body and goals. And that is how we personalize the digital food farmacy for each individual.
Can people buy food from the digital food farmacy?
Yes, people can. If the food is on our farmacy, people can buy it and have it delivered to their homes.
How does the food get delivered to me?
The farmacy works just like Amazon and DoorDash. A person places an order on our app or web portal, and a third party delivers the food to them.
What is a FoodHealth Score?
The FoodHealth Score is bitewell’s proprietary metric that helps people quickly identify the best foods for them. The score ranges from 0-10, and we created the scores by way of fusing nutrition science with an individual’s unique health needs, goals, and dietary preferences.
How do I access bitewell’s digital food farmacy?
Your healthcare provider or your employer must give you access to bitewell’s digital food farmacy. At this time individuals cannot access the digital food farmacy on their own as it is not available directly to consumers.
